Unfortunately the TomTom XXL 550TM does not provide a list of turn-by-turn directions. That single lack of feature makes this one of the most unwisely designed GPS, inspite of the IQ routes and Lifetime free traffic & map updates. This unit is a stripped down version of other TomTom models.

This GPS mount works perfectly with our Garmin Nuvi. It is very stable on the dashboard and has a ball typle holder that allows you to easily adjust the Nuvi screen up or down and left to right. I especially like the easy yet simple mechanism that allows one to quickly clip the Nuvi to the mount or to take it off. Great product for the price.

I’m sure there are fancier, more expensive, Pedometers available….but the Omron HJ-112 was perfect for my needs. Easy to use, inexpensive, and accurate.

I received my Kindle-2 Friday night upon getting home from work, and I’ve been more excited about this gift than any other I’ve received in years. As a voracious reader since 1956, this is a dream come true. I can have all the reading material I want with me all the time. I’m sure that as time goes by there will continue to be ever nicer features added, and an expanded capacity for all Kindles, but that takes nothing away from the fact that this little piece of technology is truly a gem. The display is clear as it can be, with excellent contrast; it’s size is convienent, the controls are fairly intuitive, and the ability to shop for content from the device itself is possibly one of the nicest things about it. Even someone who doesn’t like computers can use this thing and shop for new reading material without ever going near a computer. About the only thing that isn’t absolutely 5-star about the Kindle is the fact that it would be easy to drop. That is the one thing I intend to remedy ASAP. There is a silicon-rubber sleeve available for just under $4.00 which will address the problem very well. If you are in a quandry for a gift to buy for someone, this is something a reader will love, and appreciate for a very long time. I can very comfortably recommend the Kindle to anyone who is enamored of the printed word. If you get a Kindle for someone you WILL be scoring points for good gift giving. If you get a Kindle you will definitely love it. Kindle is a great gift to give or receive; I hope you will find out for yourself

I bought this GPS a month ago and I am very satisfied. I used it three times in the period and it worked as I expected. The orientation is very detailed as you approach exits on a highway, for example. It is also fast to re-plan a new route if you get out of the planned way.
