The new DSLR’s that include video need Class 6 SDHC cards to work effectively. This card does the trick. Any lower speed interrupts the transfer of data to the card and generates a stop and go effect. This card makes everything smooth and easy.

This product was a good value for the money. I used it with my Xbox 360 and LG 42LH90 television and it worked fine at 1080p/60 fps.

However, when I connected the LG 42LH90 to a Samsung BD-C6500 Blu-Ray player, I found that 1080p/24 fps worked fine, but 1080p/60 fps displayed intermittent visual static and was unwatchable. I had purchased two of these cables and I tried both, yet the problem still remained. I tried the AmazonBasics 6′ HDMI cable and the problem went away; 1080/60p with no problem.

I was surprised to find that the cable was the problem. However, it worked fine with my Xbox 360, and ultimately was an inexpensive experiment. However, next time I would purchase the AmazonBasics cable instead.

Ninety-year old Jacob lives in a nursing home where he spends most days parked in the hallway, waiting for Sundays when a visitor comes. He’s excited because a traveling circus has set up next door and he can’t wait to go. He flashes back to his youth during the Depression, when he was penniless and joined a third-rate circus as an almost-qualified vet. There, he fell in love with Marlena, the beautiful star horsewoman. Unfortunately, his boss was her brutish husband.

I absolutely loved this book. It contrasts the misery of being old and helpless with the non-stop action of life “on the show,” though that certainly had its share of misery, too. The pathetic circus Jacob joined was full of lively characters, some kindly, others cruel, and Jacob was forced to grow from naive youth to courageous man. There were many pages that reduced me to sobs, especially those detailing the agonizing despair of some nursing home residents and some instances of animal cruelty at the circus.

I would have given this book five stars, but I didn’t like that it was written in the first person (which immediately takes away some suspense as to the future of the narrator), and it was written entirely in the present tense which struck me as awkward. The story itself is engaging, exciting, touching, and rewarding. Highly recommended.

I bought mine when Wms. Sonoma was selling them. I loved that it had its own stand for keeping it charged on the counter. Mine worked so well I called it the Terminator of hand held blenders. Until last month when I started pureeing 6 oz. (weighed out) of frozen strawberries with 8 oz. of milk. I was only putting 3 or 4 frozen strawberries in at a time. It worked for a few weeks on a daily basis and then suddenly the little blades moved down further until they stuck out past the plastic “legs” and it started to chip the bottom of the plastic blender container. Before this happened I would have given it 5 stars, but not now.
I haven’t called Breville yet about this but it is very frustrating because my KitchenAid regular blender couldn’t puree all the strawberries as well !
I see the Cuisinart hand blender has gotten very good reviews so maybe I’ll try that one.
