Don’t think about Managing Windows Network 2000

Aside from the occasional incorrect terms and exhibits, it appears to me that the authors got bored during this project. As I progressed through the book I noticed that the level of detail was reduced with each chapter. If you need the nity-gritty, (ie to study for the Certs) this is not the book.

Take care of Deadliest Network Seven Attacks

I am a HUGE fan of the Artemis Fowl books, but I saw this cover and instantly wondered why they would redo it. I think Artemis looks really creepy. Yes, I get that he is a criminal mastermind, but he makes me want to put the book down, not read it. I’m disappointed that Eoin Colfer let this happen. I just hope that the next book, The Atlantis Complex, won’t have this cover. And also, what’s with the logo? I hate this new cover!

Thecus 2U Rackmount Network reviews

So, first let me say that I don’t dislike this scale enough to return it. I’ve waited a few months to write this review because I wanted to be sure I’d had enough time with the scale to validate my one concern. Overall I like it. I like that I can just step on it–no tapping. I like how big the numbers are–very easy to read. My one concern is that it seems to be fairly accurate but only after I mess with it a little. It seems to remember the last weight it measured. I only get on the scale once or twice a week and am finding that I have to hold something that weighs a few pounds to get it to “reset”. Then, I step off and wait for it to turn off. Then I step on it again and it registers my new weight. My weight doesn’t fluctuate much each week. I’m doing Weight Watchers and at most, I lose two pounds in a week now. I was hoping for a scale that I didn’t have to fiddle with to get an accurate reading but this isn’t frustrating enough for me to spend even more money on another scale that I might not be any happier with.

UC0610201 NETWORK SYSTEMS EMULEX lies

This is the best carpet cleaner ive ever used, the most effective. I even learned to live with the rather mundane task of refilling and emptying the containers because it really made a big difference in my carpets. However, after maybe a year of every other month use-the clean surge brushes stopped spinning. I noticed one day they werent working, but went ahead and finished my cleaning..well, the next day-there were stripes all over my living room floor where the solution was sprayed into the carpet, but because the brushes didnt rotate-it didnt clean properly! I have since lent it to my sisterinlaw who also had the same experience. The only useful part of the cleaner is the hand tool now-which stinks because this truly is the best cleaner out there. Ive owned the bissell steam clean-and this blew it away!

Multiprotocol Design Network and forever

One of the best technically oriented books I’ve read. Very conversational in style of writing. Chris Brenton is adept at explaining technical conepts. I also liked the mix of theoritical and practical material.

Take away Network Security Wiley Pathways

I’ve greatly enjoyed using the Garmin Forerunner 305 for my marathon training. I previously used my iPhone for similar functionality, but was having problems with its consistency. I’ve had no such problems with this watch! I was afraid it would be too big, but I don’t even notice I’m wearing it. Great info in one look, and good battery life.

This book was interesting and exciting. Artemis is a very believable character and made even funnier by the fact he is a child. Anyone that likes books on faeries and mystery will love this book.

I have been in data communications for 25 years, 10 years working on IP stuff. Routers, switches that sort of thing. If you are not IP literate I would strongly suggest looking for a trained professional, or a precocious 13 year old to help you through the installation. It’s not that installation is that difficult, but terminology will come to play. DNS, MAC Address, Net Mask, etc.. This is the alphabet soup that can make your eyes glaze, and cause you to go prematurely gray.
As for the product concept I can only say that since it does exactly what I imagined we needed after my wife and I had our home broken into. It has a motion detector. It takes a picture when there is detected movement. Then emails, or FTP’s it (your choice) to you. It must be brilliant. It is left to you the homeowner to decide if the dog got into the living room, or if there is something more nefarious afoot. You can also play voyeuer on hired help and such, or make sure the kids arent having a keger while you have dinner out. (As if they arent smart enough to put a photograph of the empty living room in front of the camera.)
My real feelings for the product come from my experience with Panasonic tech support. I told the rep Richard Morgan I’d complement him. So there I did. Did I need help with the install? Of course not! But I did have a question regards SMTP service that dumbo carrier Verizon could not help with. Not ony was Verizon clueless they were surly about it.
The best thing I can say about the product is that we need three more cameras. Despite the price they will all be the Panasonics.
