You know about 4 Cult Classics Collection
A beautiful story…an important story…one of the best works I have ever read about the real relationships between white and black women in the south. It is set in the ’60s but there are sadly some places in the south where these complicated and often symbiotic ties still play out each day. We need only look at how we treat our own President in full world-view to know that the book’s truths are just as true today, only in a different “outfit”…I hope this book turns out to be a classic our grandchildren will read with much the same sense of disbelief as we had when we read Roots or The Color Purple.
